How Combination Bet Works
Definition:
Combination bet is the placing of a series of wagers/stake which covers multiple selections in various combinations/groupings, meaning you can still get a return/winnings even if some are lost event.
In other words, after you have selected multiple events, you bet that only a certain number of selections on your ticket will be winning. E.g out of the 5 selections, you are betting that 3 will be winning.
Example
You have selected five different events as seen
below and opted for 3 groups.
· NOTE: The minimum stake per group bet/combination is #20 and this is wagered on each of those ten combinations.
· 3 Groups means that there will be a total of 10 combinations as seen above.
· Your ticket wins if a minimum of 3 out of your 5 selections is correct.
· If all 5 selections are correct, you will get your full potential win.
· If 3 selections are correct, you will only get a partial win (not below the min. potential win)
· The
exact amount of the winnings depends on how many of the selections are correct.
How the Events are Combined
Below is an illustration of how the events are combined using A, B, C, D & E to represent the 5 events selected.
The system will generate the 10 combinations of 3 groups as seen below:
ABC (1) = 1.95 x 1.34 x 1.26 = 3.29238 x #20 (stake) = #65.8476
ABD (2) = 1.95 x 1.34 x 1.41 = 3.68433 x #20 (stake) = #73.6866
ABE (3) = 1.95 x 1.34 x 1.38 = 3.60594 x #20 (stake) = #72.1188
ACD (4) = 1.95 x 1.26 x 1.41 = 3.46437 x #20 (stake) = #69.2874
ACE (5) = 1.95 x 1.26 x 1.38 = 3.39066 x #20 (stake) = #67.8132
ADE (6) = 1.95 x 1.41 x 1.38 = 3.79431 x #20 (stake) = #75.8862
BCD (7) = 1.34 x 1.26 x 1.41 =2.380644 x #20 (stake) = #47.61288
BCE (8) = 1.34 x 1.26 x 1.38 = 2.329992 x #20 (stake) = #46.59984 (Min. Pot. Wins)
BDE (9) = 1.34 x 1.41 x 1.38 = 2.607372 x #20 (stake) = #52.14744
CDE (10) =1.26 x 1.41 x 1.38 = 2.451708 x #20 (stake) = #49.03416
Sum = #620.03 (Max. Pot. Wins)
Note:
· From the above breakdown, you can see that the total stake for the combination bet when summed up is #200 (10 x #20).
· The Group/combination with the smallest odd gives the ‘Minimum Potential Winnings’
· The sum of all the potential wins for each group gives the ‘Maximum Potential Winnings’
How it is settled
1. Let’s assume that events A & B are lost bets while C, D & E are won, the winning combination group from the above break down will only be:
CDE = #49.03 (This will be the winning credited)
2. Let’s assume that events B & C are lost bets while A, D & E are won
The winning combination group from the above break down will only be:
ADE = #75.89 (This will be the winning credited)
3. Let`s assume that event B is a lost bet while A, C, D & E are won
The winning combination group from the above break down will only be:
= ACD + ACE + ADE + CDE
= #69.2874 + #67.8132 + #75.8862 + #49.03416
= #262.02 (This will be the winning credited)
The above is applicable to all other combinations based on the events predicted won.
Note: The more correct events you have in your combination bet, the higher the winnings. If you fail to meet the system criterion (e.g. when only one event is correct in a 3/5 system bet as seen above), you lose the bet. Hence, more winning bets means a higher return
